Emery E. Evans

Emery E. Evans, age 80 of West Branch, passed away Monday, November 6, 2006 at his home. Emery had lived in West Branch since 1946. He was a member of the K of C Council #2022, All Saints Council #1745, the American Legion Post #103, the 40 & 8 Coban 1086 and the Loyal Order of the Moose #2051. He served in the Navy during WWII, retired from Consumers Power Company in July, 1987 after 40 years of service and was the Ogemaw County Veteran of the Year in November 2004. Emery is survived by his wife, Donna (Greene) Evans of West Branch, children; Brian Evans (Rosie Bernard) of Rose City and Karen (Gary) Campbell of Alger, grandchildren, B.J. Evans, Kori Osborne-Klustaitis, Ryan Osborne and Brianna Coryell, a great-granddaughter, Brooke Evans and his sister, Nina Love of Higgins Lake. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 12-9 p.m. with a K of C Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Richard Seifferly will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for a headstone fund or to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
