Ena Delores Iverson

Ena Delores Iverson, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home in Grayling, MI with her family by her side. She had lived in Grayling since 1989, formerly of St. Helen. Ena was born on June 27, 1933 in Sherry, WI to Leo and Ena (Lyon) Chapinski. She married Floyd Iverson in St. Helen on September 29, 1991. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5680 and served as past district president. Ena also belonged to the Ladies of the Knights, Eagles, and St. Helen Catholic Church. She worked for Amicare in Grayling and cleaned houses in the Roscommon area. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Ena is survived by her husband, Floyd Iverson of Grayling; children, David (Lenna) Rorie of AZ, Debra (Michael) Frieders of MI, Dana Hankes of NV, Dawn Robinson of IL, Samantha (Lloyd) Yelton, IL, Brian (Kim) Duncan, MI, Ethel Moore of MI, Louis (Pam) Matteson of MI, Darla Holmun of IA, Darl (Lois) Matteson of MI, Orrin (Mary) Matteson of MI, Lexine (Tim) Boyes of MI and Cheryl Keene of MI; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and sister, Rosemary Pizarro of IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, children, Raymond Smith, Alberta Sherman and Peter Iverson; grandchildren, Leo P. Matteson, James C. Keene, Arrianna H. Gonzalez, Christine J. Cross, Jeremy M. Jackson, and Larry F. Jackson; and siblings, Leo, Arthur, Robert and Patricia Chapinski.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Helen Catholic Church on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Father Wayne Dziekan and Sr. Barbara Matievich O.P. will officiate.
