Eugene A. Noble, age 72 of West Branch, passed away Sunday July 6, 2008 at his home. Gene had lived in West Branch since 1960. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the K of C #2022, All Saints 4th Degree. Gene was a coach and past president of the West Branch Little League and he managed the grain elevator for Farm Bureau from 1960 to 1987. He was also a car salesman for Manning Ford and Dean Arbour Ford, retiring in 1998. Gene is survived by his wife, Dorothy of West Branch, children, Douglas (Cheryl) Noble of Perrysburg, OH, Roger (Lorna) Noble, Richard (Rhonda) Noble, Michael (Mary Secord) Noble, Gail (Jeff) Keister, Brian (Kim) Noble and Amy (Kevin) Kopytek all of West Branch, his son in law, Joel Erickson (Laurie Romatz) of West Branch, 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Also surviving are his sisters, Roslyn (Glen) Schroeder of Bloomfield Hills, June Froehlich and Diane (Robert) Pawlowski both of Harbor Beach and Linda (Gary) Schultz of Commerce Township. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Gina and Julie, his grandson, Scott, brothers, Levi “Junior” and Robert Noble and sisters, Ila Gillis, Viola Brahmer and Ruth Vogel. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 12-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. and a K of C Rosary at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 10, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Richard Seifferly will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund or to Heartland Hospice.
