Gayle Evon Meyer

Gayle Evon Meyer, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. She lived in St. Helen, MI since 1996, formerly of Livonia, MI. Gayle was born on May 4, 1935 in Detroit, MI to Henry and Violet (Lyons) Finnimore. She graduated from Redford High School. She worked as a secretary for different businesses through the years and retired from Absopure Water Company in Farmington Hills. She raised her family in Livonia and moved to St. Helen for her retirement. Gayle was a very active church member at the Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen. She enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her family.

Gayle is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (David) Flint of Redford, MI; son, Kent (Heather) Meyer of South Lyon; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister, Cathy Ryan of Lakeland, FL; and brother, Jack (Joyce) Finnimore of Howell, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, son, Keith, and siblings, Edward, Viola and Donald.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Rodney Morrison will officiate.

Visitation will be held with precautions, due to the current pandemic, limiting the number of attendees at a given time.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hope Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
