Gladys Alvena Gelinas

January 1, 1911 — October 8, 2003

Mrs. Gelinas passed away at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She had been a resident of West Branch for most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the National Council of Catholic Women and the Ladies Auxiliary-Knights of Columbus #2022. She and her husband Ed operated the Delquist Store in West Branch for 16 years. Mrs. Gelinas is survived by her children--Elaine Heisler of Waterford, Shirley (Don) Myas and Nelson (Shirley) Gelinas both of Kalkaska, Beverly (Jim) Demerest of Holland and Joyce (Bob) Leslie of Freeland. 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, a son John and a son in law, Paul Heisler. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held from 12-9 P.M. on Friday October 10, 2003. A Ladies Rosary will be recited at 2:00 P.M. and a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., both on Friday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kalkaska Medical Health Center-long term, in Kalkaska.
