Gloria M. Maxwell

Gloria M. Maxwell, age 92, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Tawas MediLodge in Tawas, MI. She was born on September 8, 1928 in Hill Township, Ogemaw County, MI to Albert and Pearl (Monroe) Lauer. Gloria lived in Hale since 1948, formerly of St. Clair Shores. On April 17, 1948, she married John Maxwell in West Branch. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed ceramics, crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking.

Gloria is survived by her daughters in law, Karen Maxwell of Hale and Donna Maxwell of Clinton Township, MI; grandchildren, Jay Maxwell of Sterling Heights, MI, Scott (Debbie) Maxwell of Metamora, MI, Wendy (Earnest) Stewart of Roseville, MI, Paul Brady of Hale, Tracy Maxwell of Shelby Township, MI and Daniel (Lauren) Maxwell of West Branch; great grandchildren, Angelica, MacKenzie, Carissa, Abigail and Jensen; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, sons, Michael and David Maxwell, and sister, Mae Wolfe.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Logan Township Cemetery. Rev. Philip Seitz will officiate.

Visitation will be held with precautions, due to the current pandemic, limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
