Harold "Bud" Glendon Carl Stephens

Harold “Bud” Glendon Carl Stephens, age 79, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in West Branch, MI. Bud has lived in Alger for over 30 years, previously of Saginaw, MI. He was born to Harold Glendon Carl and Catherine (McNalley) Stephens on December 20, 1938 in Saginaw, MI. Bud was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1956-1959. He worked of General Motors for over 30 years at the Grey Iron Foundry. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, trail riding, riding his Harley, and loved his dogs. He had a great sense of humor, and always looked forward to family gatherings.

Bud is survived by his daughters: Shelia Carpenter of Ormond Beach, FL, Sherry Stephens of West Branch, Glenda Stephens-Valentine of West Branch, and Shellee Stephens of Alger. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren Carl “C.J.” Carpenter III, Joshua Carpenter, Jeremy Carpenter, Mia Carpenter, Willie Rau, Nathan Rau, Carl Stephens, Christopher Valentine, Kaylene Valentine and Amanda Valentine, 8 great grandchildren Christian, Cameron, Faith, Caiden, Caine, Faith, Carter, and Aiden, sister Sue Seelman of Flint and many nieces, nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Archie French, son “BJ” Stephens, sister Donna Hoffman, and infant brother Kenneth Stephens.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 4-9 p.m. Bud’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery in West Branch with military honors.
