Harold Dean Scott

Harold Dean Scott, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. He has lived in St. Helen, MI since 1975, formerly of Redford Township, MI. Harold was born to Lester and Nancy (McQueen) Scott on September 7, 1940 in Laurel, KY. He married Margaret Derezich in Detroit, MI on October 23, 1971. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and provided lawn care service for the Memorial Park in St. Helen. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Scott of St. Helen, MI; daughters: Deana (Alan) Barrios of Westland, MI, Denise Brown of Gibraltar, MI; grandchildren: Deanne, Danniell, Christopher, Matthew, Richard, Robert, Ronni, Jason, Michael, Johnny, Keith; 13 great grandchildren; brother: George Scott of Ypsilanti, MI; and sister: Pauline of Ypsilanti, MI. He is preceded in death by his father: Lester Scott, mother: Nancy Sheppard, son: Deon Scott, and brothers: Willie and Sammie Scott. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen, MI will be Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
