James A. Rice

Mr. Rice passed away at his home on January 30, 2003. He had lived in Lupton since 1966. He was a life member of the D.A.V. and the VFW Post in West Branch. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife Lillian Rice of Lupton, children--Daniel (Pat) Rice and Mina (Jim) Arntz both of Lupton, Gloria (Otis) Partlo of Lamore, CA., a daughter in law, Lois Harvey of St. Helen, grandchildren--Joe Jr., Lawrence, Theresa, Gina and Jason, great-grandchildren--Derick, Haley, Charlie and two step-great-granddaughters. Also surviving are his sister, Virginia Michalski of Gatesville, MI., and an aunt, Alma Teeples of Rose City. He was preceded in death by a son Joe Rice Sr., his parents Joe and Viola Rice and a brother A.C. Rice. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday February 8, 2003 at the Cumming Township Hall. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
