James J. Tomes

Mr. Tomes passed away at Grayling Mercy Hospital. He had lived in St. Helen since July of 1996, formerly of Mancelona. Mr. Tomes is survived by his wife, Alice Tomes of St. Helen, children--James (Mary) Tomes of Phoenix, AZ., Russell (Cathy) Tomes and Valerie (Ed) Price both of St. Helen, Vivian (Thomas) Yarger of Tecumseh, Norman (Kay) Tomes of Clearwater, FL., 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Marie McBride of Pasadena, TX., and Mary Grabrec of Westland and stepsons--Edward Skagerberg and James Skagerberg both of Roscommon. Visitation for Mr. Tomes will begin on Monday December 29, 2003 from 2-9 P.M. at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen.
