James "Jim" A. Vogt

James A. Vogt, age 70, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home in West Branch. Jim has lived in West Branch his whole life, born on May 27, 1947 in West Branch, MI to James and Pauline (Jones) Vogt. Jim served 6 years in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He was a life member of the AMVETS the DAV and a past member of the Masonic Lodge #376 in West Branch. Jim enjoyed barbecuing, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Michele Vogt of West Branch, daughter Nichol Vogt of Wyoming, MI, daughter Stephanie Vogt, son Jerry Vogt, son Terry (Lisa) Vogt, and son Gary Vogt. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Lily, Ethan, Darian, Malena and Elijah.

Visitation for James will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 3-9PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. His funeral will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Pastor Jon Scott will officiate.
