James Mark Jacobs

James “Jim” M. Jacobs, age 59, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home in Lupton, MI. He lived in Lupton for the past 12 years, formerly of Flint, MI. James was born on September 25, 1961 to Donald and Mary (Gibbs) Jacobs in Flint.

Jim moved to Lupton to care for his aging parents, whom he loved dearly. He was active in the Holy Family Church in West Branch, where he served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister helping distribute holy communion to those who could not attend mass.

Prior to moving to Lupton, Jim received his BA and MBA from Ferris State University. Jim was the CEO of Transition House in Flint. Their efforts helped people suffering with drug and alcohol abuse. Jim's passion for this helped many people improve their lives.

Jim had a love for his animals, cars, deer hunting, fishing and boating.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Patricia (Nicholas) Iozzo of Batavia, IL, Frederick (Denise) Jacobs of Holland, Steven (Tami) Jacobs of Six Mile, SC, and Nancy Jacobs of Holland. Also, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Jacobs.

Thanks to his close friends that helped him this past year.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Holy Family Church or the Ogemaw County Humane Society.

A Memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
