Jan Marie Matuszak

Jan Marie Matuszak, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in West Branch, MI. She was born on September 17, 1969 in Detroit to Theodore and Florence (Janiszewski) Matuszak Sr. She lived in West Branch since 1973. Jan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch, Special Olympics and A.R.C. She received supportive employment through AuSable Valley where she worked at St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as the public library. She enjoyed anything to do with Harley Davidson, baseball, bowling, soccer, cross country skiing, and Music in the Park.

Jan is survived by her sister, Patricia (Lawrence) Zdeb of Troy; brothers, Gregory (Donna) Matuszak of Berkley and Theodore “Ted” (Tammy) Matuszak of Whittemore; 11 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ronald Matuszak, sister, Kristina Matuszak and sister in law, Carla Matuszak.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Elias Chinzara will officiate.
