Janet E. Harris

Janet E. Harris, age 88 of West Branch, MI., passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch, MI. Janet was born February 10, 1924 in Rockford, Illinois, daughter of Clifford and Ruth (Anderson) Brees. She has lived in West Branch since 2008 formerly of Rockford, III. She was baptized and confirmed at Tabor Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. Janet worked her entire life at Amerock Corp. in Rockford, working her way up from the secretarial pool to the head assistant to the Sales Dept. She retired in 1986. Janet is survived by her daughter Pam (Dan) Vernetti of West Branch,MI, son Steven (Martha) Harris of Colorado Springs, CO., and daughter Carol Harris (Steve Sisney) of Des Moines, IA. Also surviving are grandchildren Leah Deane, Sarah Harris, Andrew Harris, Marne Harris, and Lara Jude, along with 10 great-grandchildren and sister-in-Iaws Joan Brees, Shirley Brees, Kath Brees and brother-in-law Roger Harris. Janet is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Harris in 1996, parents Clifford and Ruth Brees, and siblings DeForest Brees, Laverne Brees, Edward Brees, Muriel Johnson, and Clifford Brees Jr. A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on August 25, 2012 at 1PM at Norwalk United Methodist Church, 1801 Sunset Dr., Norwalk, IA 50211.
