Janet R. Doran

Janet Ruth (Dankert) Doran, age 71 of West Branch, passed away November 5, 2010. Janet had lived in West Branch since 1997, formerly of Merrill. She was born December 13, 1938 in Bad Axe to the late Louis and Ruth (Jones) Dankert. She married Harvey G. Doran Jr. on September 7, 1963 in Saginaw. Janet loved riding their Harley-Davison with Harvey and enjoyed spending time with her family at Clear Lake in West Branch. She retired from Dow Corning Corporation. Janet is survived by her children, Dan (Jennifer) Doran of Auburn, Michigan and Pamela Doran (Leonard Revard) of Merrill, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Todd, Quinn, Melissa, Sabrina, Chelsey, Erik and Nicklas; one sister, Joanne (Jim) Steiner of Leesburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey in 2009, and two brothers, Robert and William Dankert. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Rodney Morrison, Pastor will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church, St. Helen, Michigan.
