Jay D. Mackey

Jay D. Mackey, age 60, passed away on March 1, 2016 in St. Helen, MI. He had lived in St. Helen for the past 17 years, formerly of West Branch, MI. Jay was born on August 5, 1955 in West Branch to J.D. and Katherine (Oliver) Mackey. He was a member of the Harley Owner Group and worked at Valenite in West Branch. Jay graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 1974 and enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing, Harley’s, and was an avid deer hunter.

Jay is survived by his sisters, Linda (Jerry) Rowland of Gaines, MI and Susan (Albert) Kleyps of West Branch, MI; nieces and nephews, Wayne (Tammy) Rowland, Kelly (Larry) Torrey, Melanie Zalewski, Lucas Kleyps, and Andrew (Lisa Courech) Kleyps. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Katherine.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Faith Alive Church in West Branch, MI at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m.
