Jean Szucs Pernaitis

Jean Szucs Pernaitis age 87, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Jean was born April 15, 1923 in Ecorse, Michigan to William and Alma Gove. Jean had lived in West Branch for over 60 years. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and New Beginnings Lutheran Church. Jean loved to walk, read, and had a gift to gab. Jean is survived by husband, Jack E. Pernaitis of West Branch, daughter, Betty (Robert) Brindley of West Branch, daughter, Dianna (Greg) Fronk of Manitowoc, WI, adopted son, Ben (Julia) Watson of Livonia, grandchildren, Kari (Tim) Taylor, Benjamin (Tracy) Fronk, Erica (Nick) Lyons, Ammie (Jason) Childs, great-grandchildren, Hunter, Zac, Zander, Gavin, Shelby, and Wendy. She is preceded in death by 1st husband, Joseph Szucs in 1984, and 2 brothers, Ted and Howard Gove. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, May 17, 2010 from 1-9 pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Noel Olse and Mr. Douglas Weible will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Lutheran Church in West Branch.
