Jewell Ray Greene

Jewell Ray Greene, age 97 of St. Helen, passed away August 16, 2010 at his home. Mr. Greene had lived in St. Helen since 1974. He retired from the City of Detroit in December of 1973 as a bus driver, was a member of Union Local #126 in Detroit, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of West Branch. Mr. Greene is survived by his wife Margaret Greene of St. Helen, his brother, Carlos Greene of Sterling Heights, his sister, Irma Jean Ward of Cape Girardeau, MO and several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Thomas Teall will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands or to Calvary Baptist Church, both of West Branch.
