Joan E. Thompson

Joan E. Thompson, age 98, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at The Villa at West Branch. She was born on June 1, 1921 in West Branch to Charles and Pearl (Sheppard) Wangler. Joan had lived in West Branch most of her life. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed camping and bowling.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Kay (Gene) Banning of West Branch; grandsons, Brent Banning and Jason Banning both of West Branch; and great granddaughter, Macy K, Banning of West Branch. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wendell; son, Larry “Bruce” Walters; and siblings, Virginia Hanes, Bernice Lacko and Dean Wangler.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
