John Elmer Orr

John Elmer Orr, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at The Villa at Rose City with his family by his side. He was born on February 17, 1933 in Coleman, MI to Boyd and Catherine (Baker) Orr. John has lived in Rose City since 1968, formerly of Mapleton, MI. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW. John enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and tinkering on things.

John is survived by his children, Alberta Saelens of Rose City, Iva (Kenneth) Hebert of Rose City, Jody (Nicole) Mourot of Rose City, and John (Verna) Orr of Lupton; sisters, Betty Draves of Sanford and Mary Ann Forsberg of Midland; grandchildren, John Orr Jr., Jerad Orr, Amy Saelens, Ryan Hebert, Kenneth Hebert Jr., and Melissa Davis; and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with military honors. Rev. Rodney Morrison, Pastor will officiate.
