John Petrella

John Petrella, age 65 of St. Helen, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at his home. Mr. Petrella had lived in St. Helen since 2000, formerly of Warren. He was a wood die model maker for various auto suppliers. John was a member of the Pattern & Model Makers Association and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. John is survived by his children, Joseph (Lisa) Petrella of Macomb, Michael Petrella of East Pointe and Ashley Petrella of Chesterfield Twp, his granddaughter, Elizabeth, his mother Virginia Petrella of Roseville and his brothers, Daniel Petrella of North Carolina and Dr. David Petrella of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his father Luciano Petrella. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 1-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Helen Catholic Church. Sr. Barbara Matievich O.P. will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
