John Stuart Gregg

John “Jack” Stuart Gregg, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. He was born on November 7, 1930 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Helen (Kronberg) Gregg. John lived in West Branch since 1991, formerly of Clinton Township, MI. John served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the NRA, the Moose Lodge and Crime Stoppers. He was the Churchill Township Trustee for several years and the Gypsy Moth Coordinator for Ogemaw County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

John is survived by his children, Val (Al) Kayser of London, KY, Cathie (Brian) Conner of Richmond, MI, Scott (Lisa) Gregg of Chesterfield Twp., MI, Michael (Sharon) McBride of Detroit, MI and Kelly Hawley of Barstow, CA; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; brothers, James Gregg of Detroit, Dean (Elsa) Gregg of Alger, MI and Robert (Nancy) Gregg of Escanaba, MI; sister, Sally Roberts of St. Clair Shores; and special friend, Alvena Fuller of West Branch. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marguerite “Mardi” Gregg.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Selkirk Cemetery in West Branch with veteran honors.
