Julia Frances Bonadona

Julia Frances Bonadona, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Alger, MI. Julia has lived in Chicago, IL since 1984, formerly of MI. She was born to Peter and Eleanor (Chapo) Avram on January 25, 1938 in Detroit, MI. Julia married John Bonadona on March 21, 1992 in Chicago, IL. Julia was the President of Resurrection Medical Center Auxiliary, active in projects for donating at Salvation Army, and sponsoring St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed painting, poet writing, reading and cooking. Julia is survived by her loving husband, John Bonadona of Chicago, IL; children: Jennifer (Paul) Maurer of Des Plaines, IL, Susan Stuart of Park Ridge, IL, Michael Bonadona of Chicago, IL, James Bonadona of Park Ridge, IL; grandchildren: Matthew, Bridget, Raven, P.J., Jon, Nick; brother: David Avram of Alger, MI; cousin: Richard (Patti) Avram of Alger, MI; nephews: David (Kathy) Avram Jr. of Alger, Daniel Avram of Alger; and niece, Debbie Avram of Alger. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Mark Stuart. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alger United Methodist Church with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Alger Cemetery. Pastor Jim Payne will officiate.
