Kathleen M. Warren

June 5, 1966 — March 15, 2006

Kathleen M. (Drabek) Warren, age 39 of Kalamazoo, formerly of West Branch, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Kathy was born in Barstow, California but grew up in West Branch, MI and graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 1984. She was a cheerleader, a former girl scout, was active in the HOSA program, a member of the National Honor Society and worked at McDonald's Restaurant during high school. After graduation Kathy attended Davenport College in Kalamazoo where she obtained her associates degree in accounting. Kathy stayed in the Kalamazoo area where she continued to work for the McDonald's Corporation for a number of years. Most recently, she was employed by Morrison Industrial in a clerical position. Kathy was an avid NASCAR fan and she followed football and other sports. Survivors include her daughter, Ashleigh Warren, her parents, Dave and Sally Drabek of West Branch, her sister, Amy (Ben) Peterson of West Branch, her special niece Olivia of West Branch and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Crystal and Robert Bohlinger and Peter and Marion Drabek and her uncles, Gary and Robert Drabek and William Bohlinger. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 5-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch. Victor Schreffler, Sr. Pastor will officate. Memorial Contributions may be made in Trust for Ashleigh Warren or to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
