Kevin Conway Ranney

July 16, 1954 — August 5, 2021

Kevin Conway Ranney, age 67, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw, MI. He was born on July 16, 1954 in West Branch to George and Lucille (Conway) Ranney. He lived in Ogemaw County most of his life, with many great memories made in Shady Shores and at the lake house.

Kevin loved road trips, traveling, and planning his next adventures with his brother, usually somewhere on the water. Collecting antiques, looking for deals, and his love for vintage boats kept him busy. He especially loved car rides with his granddaughter, Reese, to their favorite restaurant. He was always talking and telling stories and had endless knowledge about many things. Kevin loved gatherings with family and friends, was always smiling and welcoming to everyone. He thought the world of his family, friends, and “all of his kids” as he would say but especially his daughter and granddaughter. Kevin had such a kind, sentimental heart and truly cared how others were feeling. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Shauna (KJ) Engel of West Branch; granddaughter, Reese; brothers, George Jr. Ranney of Lupton and Kelvin (Judi) Ranney of West Branch; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Candace Ranney and Cheryl Darcy Ranney, and nephews, Craig Beyer, BJ Andreini, and Conrad Pustelnik.

A celebration of life will take place at a later time at the lake house.
