Linley "Butch" J. Dodd

Linley J. “Butch” Dodd, age 62 of St. Helen passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at his home. He had lived in St. Helen since 1993, formerly of Prescott. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Eagles Club of West Branch and the Legion Riders. He was also the past chaplain and chief commander of the American Legion Post #416 of St. Helen. He enjoyed karaoke, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Linley is survived by his children, Kerri Densmore of Champion, Chris (Carey) Dodd of Oscoda, Misty Cappellety of Wassila, AK and Nick Densmore of Capac. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Aidan and Alison and his mother, Phyllis Tilley Dodd of St. Helen. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will take place Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 3-7 p.m. There will be no funeral service. Burial of cremains will take place on Monday, October 12, 2009, 12:00 p.m. at Logan Township Cemetery. Memorial Contribution may be made to the family.
