Margaret J. Witzke

Margaret J. Witzke, age 89, passed away Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Bortz Health Care in Rose City, MI. Margaret lived in Rose City for the past 20 years formerly of Bay City, MI. She belonged to the Lupton Friends Church in Lupton, and the Rock Club in Roscommon. She ran the Horse Shoe Inn in Essexville, MI for 35 years. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed traveling. Surviving family members are her husband- Walter Witzke of Rose City, Daughters- Molly (Ron) Przygocki of Bay City, Julia (Carl) Meisner of Essexville, Mary Jacobs of Bay City, Jackie (Tom) Krzewinski of Pinconning and, Barb Mehnert of Rose City, Sons- Jerry (Shirley) Witzke of Bay City, James (Diane) Jacobs of Troy, and Gary (Marie) Jacobs of Troy. 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death a daughter- Elizabeth Weber, 2 sisters Dorothy and Evelyn and 2 brothers Robert and Frederick. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 16, 2005 at 3:00 PM with visitation prior to the service from 1-3 PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City. Pastor Jack Rice will officiate. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Lupton Friends Church in Lupton, MI.
