Margaret M. Smith - Jacobson

Margaret M. Smith-Jacobson, Age 86, passed away at her home Saturday morning Oct. 18, 2003. Mrs. Jacobson has been a resident of West Branch for 9 years previously from Waterford, Michigan. Mrs Jacobson was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Waterford she also belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. She was an active member of 2 Senior Citizens Clubs, in Waterford and in West Branch. She belonged to the UAW Local# 653 Waterford, MI. She is retired from General Motors-Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac. Mrs. Jacobson is survived by her 2 children- Sharon (Bill) Harvey of West Branch and Jim (Dee) Smith of Davidson, MI. 7 Granddaughters, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother- Paul (Lois) Metzler and Family. Preceded in Death by her 1st Husband- George W. Smith, 2nd Husband- Orville Jacobson, and a Brother -Bernard Metzler. A memorial service is planed for Sat. October 25 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Father Robert Bissot will be officiating. The burial of ashes will take place Thursday, October 30, 2003 at 2:00PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Pontiac, MI. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Helping Hands 335 E. Houghton Ave., West Branch MI. 48661.
