Margot Wright

Margot Wright, 82, of West Branch, MI passed away surrounded by her loved ones on October 18, 2021.

Margot was born to Friedrich and Anna Niebel on October 4, 1939 in Hanau, Germany.

In 1958, Margot gave birth to her daughter Gabrielle (Mercer). She met her husband, Army Specialist Von Jeffries, Sr. in 1963 while he was stationed in Germany. At the time, Margot worked at a shoe factory and they met by throwing notes over the factory wall to each other inside a shoe. They married on October 18, 1963 and went on to have two children, Von Allen Jeffries, Jr. and Jim Jeffries. In 1968, they moved their family to Holly, Michigan.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Margot loved art and was a skilled ceramics painter and color enthusiast. She also was an amazing baker and her skills in making cookies and sweets was cherished by her family at all of the holidays. She loved animals and lovingly cared for her cat, Pumpkin. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Margot is survived by her children Gabe (Don) Mercer of Boon, MI, Von Allen (Mindy) Jeffries of West Branch, MI, and Jim Jeffries of Waterford, MI, her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Margot is preceded in death by her husband, Von Allen Sr. and her parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Toni & Trish House, 4699 11 Mile Road, Auburn, Michigan 48611 who lovingly provided a place of peace and comfort to Margot and her family during the final days of her journey to peace and rest.

Margot also loved angels and now rests in peace where the angels sing.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community of Christ, 443 E. Houghton Ave., West Branch. Seventy Kevin White will officiate.
