Marion Louise Anderson

Marion Louise (Anderson) Anderson passed away Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born on June 18, 1918 in Chatham, MI to August A. and Emelia (Nelson) Anderson. She graduated from Eben High School in 1937. She moved for employment to Detroit where she met her future husband, Marlin W. (Andy) Anderson. They married December 6, 1941. In 1957 they moved to Farmington and 1966 to West Branch, where she continued to reside until her death. Marion was a homemaker. She bowled, golfed, was a Questor, Garden Club Member, played softball and enjoyed Nordic skiing as a youth. She loved Detroit Tigers Baseball. Marion was baptized Lutheran, but started attending the Methodist Church with her husband. When they moved to West Branch they became members of First United Methodist Church. Marion is survived by her 5 children, Linda (Roger) Busk, Allegan, MI; Bruce (Sheryl) Anderson, Arlington Heights, IL; Alvin (Christine) Anderson, West Branch, MI; Sharon (James) Downing, Owosso, MI and Lori Anderson of West Branch, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Misner (Ken Zachmann); Brian (Deb) Misner; Robert (Maria) Busk; Teresa Anderson; Peter (Kim) Anderson, Zachary Downing, and Cassandra Downing; great grandchildren, Allison, Nate, Michael, Brandon, Trevor, Aleksei, Rowan, Keegan, and Kiah; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Marlin; her parents, August and Emelia, her brothers and sisters, August, Einar, John, Alphonse, William, Elaine, Mildred, Martha and Edith and her son-in-law, James Misner. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 6pm on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
