Marjorie Meier

October 17, 1925 — April 7, 2005

Marjorie Meier, age 79 of West Branch, passed away at Bay Medical Center in Bay City. She had lived in West Branch since 1952, formerly of the Saginaw area. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Questers, Loggin Wheels Chapter #328 and was a former volunteer at Tolfree Memorial Hospital. She and her husband Norman owned and operated Meier Glass in West Branch since 1957. Marjorie is survived by her children, Cheri (Roger) Stitt of Mio, Laurie (Ray) Blamer and Bill (Robin) Meier both of West Branch, 8 grandchildren--David (Dawn) Stenzel, Cory (Kelly) Stenzel, Melanie Berney, Sara Meier, Marci Meier, William Meier, Mallory Meier and Shane Cripps and 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Taylor. Also surviving is her brother William (Linda) Meeks of Chicago, her niece Barbara Jean Riley of Memphis, TN and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1997, her parents William and Blanche and her sister Gloria. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday April 9, 2005 from 6-9 P.M. and Sunday from 12-8 P.M. The family will receive friends on Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Carlo Sgambelluri will officate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. John Lutheran Church.
