Mary Antonia Girard

Mary A. Girard, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Prescott, MI. Mary had been a resident of Prescott since 1965, formerly of Detroit, MI. She was born to Cruz and Hermina Alvarez in Pontiac, MI on November 7, 1925. Mary was a former co-owner of Edgewood Greens Golf Course. She also sold Avon for many years.

Mary is survived by her children, Marlene (John W. “Cat”) Belleau of Prescott, John (Cheryl) Girard of Sterling Heights, MI and James Girard of Prescott; grandchildren, Matthew (Julie) Kruschinska of Eastpointe, MI, Mary (Danny) Sanchez of Chicago IL, William Baldwin of Elgin, IL, Jeffrey Girard of Utica, MI and Christopher (LeeAnn) Girard of Sterling Heights, MI; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ava and Ruby Sanchez, Cody and Lindsay Girard and Jack and Amelia Baldwin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon and daughters, Elaine Girard and Karen Burns.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
