Mary Magdelene (Litwaitis) Velgos

Mary Magdelene (Litwaitis) Velgos, age 87, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 in St. Helen, MI. She had lived in St. Helen since 1970, formerly of Warren, MI. She was born to William and Magdelena (Svelnis) Litwaitis on September 2, 1928 in Detroit, MI. Marie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion Post #416. She graduated in 1947 from Pershing High School in Detroit, MI.

Marie is survived by her brothers, William Litwaitis of Mt. Clemens, MI and Matthew (Cheri) Litwaitis of Carlsbad, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Velgos.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
