Mathilda Marie Blaney

Mathilda Marie Blaney, age 102, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Heartland Heath Care in Bay City, MI. She was a longtime resident of St. Helen, MI. Marie was born on October 10, 1912 in Bay County to the late William and Louisa Hollandmoritz. She was confirmed at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church in Standish, MI on Palm Sunday – April 1927. Marie married George Blaney on May 22, 1937. Marie and the late George Blaney had five children.

Marie is survived by two children, Kenneth and George Blaney Jr. She is preceded in death by her husband, George, on May 29, 1988 and her children, Cecil Blaney (infant), Basil Blaney, and Betty Recker.

Visitation will be at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen, MI on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen with visitation starting at the church at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Rodney Morrison, Pastor, will officiate.
