Michele F. Jenkins

Michele F. Jenkins, age 64 of Alger, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She had lived in Alger for most of her life. Michele worked at Hale Elementary School for 15 years and owned and operated an adult foster care home for 35 years. She loved to do art, enjoyed gardening, traveling and gemming. Michele is survived by her children, John (Susan) Jenkins, Christina Jenkins and Robert (Jessica) Jenkins all of Alger, grandchildren, John, Tanner and Katelynn, her mother, Florene Zak of Alger and many adopted children and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1991 and her father, Michael Zak. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Rick McClendon will officiate with burial following at Alger Cemetery.
