Myrtle "Ruth" Thomas

Mrs. Thomas passed away at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. She had lived in West Branch since 1943 and was a member of the Churchill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband Ray Thomas of West Branch, children--Ruth Ferguson, Bess Engel, Sharon (Bruce) Jameson, Linda (Robert) Hilts, John Thomas, Mike (Norma) Thomas and Debra (John) Brookshire all of West Branch, Stella (James) Hastie of Latrobe, PA., Beverly (Marvin) Bales of Maryville TN., Gale (Michael) Race of Manchester NH., and Robert Thomas of Rose City. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are daughter in law, Claudia Thomas of Engadine and a sister Ethel Brown of Taylor. She was preceded in death by a son William Thomas, daughter Carol Sue Denstedt, 4 sisters, 3 brothers and her parents Thomas and Myrtle Friend. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday July 25, 2003 from 1-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officate with burial following at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery.
