Naoma Babe Johnson

Naoma Babe Johnson, age 105, passed away January 2, 2006 at her home. Naoma has been a resident of Ogemaw County since 1970, formerly of Mio and Flint. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, owner of JBJ Bridal Shop, operated a gas station in Mio, owned and operated a supper club in Midland and an auto dealership in Midland. Naoma is survived by one daughter Jean Fox of West Branch; one nephew Tom Hawley of Davison and three nieces Muriel Morgan of Gaylord, Shirley Spangler of Florida and Sally Sayer of Florida. She was predeceased in death by her husband Joseph in 1986. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held on Thursday January 5, 2006 from 12-2 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Associate Lay Pastor Cindy Gibbs will officiate. Burial will be on Friday January 6, 2006 at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint.
