Patrick Daniel Prescott, age 66 of West Branch, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Patrick was born in Prescott, Michigan on March 6, 1947 to Charles and Edith (Little) Prescott. Patrick was a chef and owner of Chef Patrick’s Catering Service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served on the Tolfree Foundation Board for many years. Patrick was passionate about the culinary arts and entertaining, and seized every opportunity to make a lavish meal at work or home. Patrick enjoyed making natural art, traveling, games of chance, and raising small animals at the Prescott home. In addition to his work and hobbies Patrick loved taking care of his family, helping friends, and volunteering in the community. Patrick is survived by his wife Dr. Laura (Funkhouser) Prescott, children; Sherrie (Matt) Poole of Kalamazoo, MI, Dustin (Amanda) Prescott of Lansing, MI; siblings Chuck (Jo) Prescott of Attica, MI, Susie (Dan) Perrin and Lloyd (Marcia) Prescott both of Prescott, MI as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00-9:00pm at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 11:00am at First United Methodist Church in West Branch. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of the service. Pastor Lisa Cook will officiate with burial to take place at the Richland Township Cemetery in Prescott, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ogemaw County Food Bank or the First United Methodist Church.
