Richard G. Chappel

Richard G. Chappel, age 80 of West Branch, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at McLaren-Bay Region Hospital in Bay City. Richard was born May 5, 1933 in Marlette, MI, the son of Simon and Elizabeth Chappel. Richard lived in the West Branch area since 1995, formerly of Englewood, Ohio. He was a member of the Ogemaw County Humane Society and life member of N.R.A. and American Legion Post #370. Richard is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Janet W. Chappel of West Branch, daughter, Cynthia (John) Van Hurk of Lincoln, MI, son, Donald (Janet) Chappel of Colorado Springs, CO, 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
