Richard Peter Bernhardt

Richard Peter Bernhardt, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home in Lupton, MI with his family by his side. He had lived in Lupton since 1990, formerly of Tawas, MI. Rich was born to Peter and Agnes (Snider) Bernhardt on July 15, 1943 in Tawas. He was in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He belonged to the NRA and enjoyed guns and hunting.

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Emilie Bernhardt of Lupton, MI; daughters, Bethany Bernhardt of Spring City, TN and Nicole (Rick) Barrick of Flemming, NJ; and sister, Jodi Lee (Don) Hopkins of Hot Springs, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Kristy Stafford.

The Funeral Service with Veteran honors will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Paul Heaton will officiate.
