Robert G. Dobson

Robert G. Dobson age 81, of West Branch, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. Robert moved to West Branch after retiring in 1985. He worked 30+ years driving truck for Associated Trucking in Port Huron. Robert enjoyed playing cowboys in Dodge City, playing the guitar, playing with his CB radios, riding dune buggies, and tinkering in his garage. Robert is survived by son Robert Dobson of AZ, son William Dobson of AZ, daughter, Barbara Dobson of TX, son, Brian Dobson of Port Huron, son, Bruce (Pam) Dobson of GA, daughter, Beth Dobson of West Branch, son, John Dobson of TX, sister, Vera (Stewart) Nicol of Cass City, and brother, Wendall Dobson of FL. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Frances, father, Robert, mother, Elta, brother, John, and sisters, Thelma and Mary. A Memorial service will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate.
