Robert Grenier Ballard

Robert Grenier Ballard, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch, MI. Robert has lived in West Branch since 2012, formerly of Mio and the Detroit Area. He was born to Albert and Fern (Grenier) Ballard on May 20, 1922 in Selkirk, MI. Robert was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge and a self-taught artist. He enjoyed old music and sang in a barber shop quartet. Robert loved motorcycles and boats. Robert is survived by her sister: Ruth Ann (Glen) Doris of Lupton, MI; brother: Ramon (Brenda) Ballard of Mio, MI; daughter in law: Ruby Ballard of Marysville, OH; son in law: Richard Jankowski of Milford, MI; grandchildren: Heather (Toby) Bossert of Weatherby Lake, MO, Keith (Pam) Ballard of Marysville, OH, Jeremy (Angie) Jankowski of Amston, CT; great grandchildren: Terri and Becky; great great grandchildren: Hannah, Riley, Andrew, and Skylar; niece and god daughter: Fern Files of Lupton, MI; niece: Jan (Danny) Sharrow of West Branch, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, son: Pat Ballard; daughter: Judy Jankowski; sister: Marie Kearis; and brothers: Earl and Richard Ballard. A Memorial will be held at a later date.
