Robert Joseph Doran

Robert Joseph Doran, age 85, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at The Villa at Rose City in Rose City, MI. He had lived in Mio, MI since 1994, formerly of Empire, MI. Robert was born on December 20, 1930 to Martin and Mary (Eagen) Doran in Detroit, MI. He was a long time employee and retired from Mt. Carmel Grace Hospital in Detroit. Robert loved traveling to Traverse City, Mackinaw Island, and camping in Harrisville. He enjoyed collecting M & M machines, watching the Detroit Tigers, and loved his dogs, the last one being Ginger.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Karen Doran of Mio, MI; children, Sheryl (Michael) Berry of Shelby Township, MI and Terri (Frank) Nysowy of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, Scott Berry, Danielle (Adam) Paulson, Krista (Mark) Ivanovic, Brittany (Kent) Woody, Heather (Nicholas) Hodge, and Ashley Nysowy; great grandchildren, AJ, Nathan and Zachary Paulson, Gracie and Brooklynn Ivanovic, and Andrew and Alexander Hodge; and sister, Joanne Vandro of Sterling Heights, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Marty and Bill Doran.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
