Robert R. Warren

Robert R. Warren, age 89, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his home in West Branch, MI with his family by his side. He was born to Robert D. and Hazel (Miller) Warren in Dewitt Township, MI on June 21, 1926. He had lived in West Branch for over 30 years, formerly of Auburn, MI. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946, during WWII. He was stationed in Arizona and served as a Naval Firefighter. On July 15, 1944, Robert married Viola Myas in Detroit, MI. He enjoyed woodworking and had built his home on Lake Ogemaw, where they had shared many years of memories. They also shared over 30 wonderful years of retirement between Lake Ogemaw and Florida. Robert enjoyed golfing, shuffle board, and camping.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Viola Warren of West Branch, MI; children, Ruth (David) Golden of West Branch, MI, Betty (Dennis Yefko) Warren of New Port Richey, FL, Sandra (Marty) Hankus of Caseville, MI, Robert Jr. (Pam) Warren of Mayville, MI, Randy (Mary Jo) Warren of Bay City, MI, Douglas (Judy) Warren of Saginaw, MI, and Bradly Warren of West Branch, MI; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Janice) Warren of Lake City, MI; sister, Ilene (Richard) Broquet of Redford, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. and Hazel Warren, brother, George Warren, and sister, Marion Hagen.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate.
