Ronald James Parrish Jr.

Ronald “Ron” Parrish, age 59, passed away on Saturday January 28, 2017 at his home in West Branch, MI. Ron has been a resident of West Branch for the majority of his life. Ron was born on December 28th, 1957 to Dorothy Shutter & Ronald Parrish Sr. He managed a department of Family Fare for almost 30 years as well as milking cows for LJL farms.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Annie Parrish; children Carrie (John) Raymond, James (Alix) Parrish, and Sarah Parrish; his siblings Guy (Charlene) Parrish, Brian Parrish, Kelly (Chris) Sappington, & Kristi (John) Bonk; step dad, Richard Shutter; mother in law, Melvia Buckel; sister in law, Denise (Dale) Johnson; brother in law, Ed (Jim Smith) Buckel; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ronald Parrish Sr., Dorothy Shutter, his father-in-law Ed Buckel Sr., and granddaughter Dakota Parrish.

Ron was the provider for his family; a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ron was an avid hunter, fisherman, and sports fanatic. His favorite past times were watching sports with his children and spending quality time with his family. He was a member of K of C Council 2022, Wild Turkey Federation, and a past leader of 4-H shooting sports.

Visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 with a K of C Rosary at 7:00 p.m. There will be a funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
