Ronald Lee White

Ronald Lee White, age 75, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI peacefully with his family by his side. He had lived in the Gladwin/West Branch area since 1972, formerly of Livonia, MI. Ron was born to William and Phyllis (Montanbault) White on December 23, 1939 in Del Ray, MI. On October 25, 1958 he married Mary N. VanBuhler in Livonia, MI. He owned and operated White’s Disposal from 1978 through 1990. Ron was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and a volunteer Firefighter for Clement Township Fire Department. Ron enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling. He loved to work and spend time with his family. He was a caring person who always helped others.

Ron is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Mary White of Gladwin, MI; children, Laurie (Walter) Estevez of Grand Rapids, MI, Ron (Doreen) White of Bentley, MI, Lisa (Paul) Rutherford of West Branch, MI, Nicole (Chuck) Gillette of West Branch, MI and Chris (Wendy) White of Livonia, MI; grandchildren, Jeremey, Jessica, Kelsi, Ron, Abby, Elijah, Valerie, Elizabeth, CJ, Ian, Jacquelyn, and Christopher; siblings, Judee Ping of Howell, MI, Jim (Sandy) White of Novi, MI and Debbie (Bob) Pinkowski of Westland, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Phyllis, and son, Kevin White.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Ron will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, December 3, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
