Ronny Gene Griffus

Ronny G. Griffus, age 46 of Alger, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his father’s home. Ronny had lived in Alger since 1999, formerly of Flint. He enjoyed canoeing, wood cutting and campfires. Ronny is survived by his father, Dale Griffus of West Branch, his mother, Evelyn Suff of Flint, siblings; Dale Crossley of Prescott, Terry Griffus and Tammy (Randy) Bowe both of Flint, Kim (Art) Pirrotta, Rachel (Bill) Walker, Bill (Penny) Griffus, Mike Griffus and Dale Ann Griffus all of West Branch, Rena Griffus of Plain City, OH and Kristina Griffus of Mt. Pleasant, his grandchildren, Leah Holtslander and Caden York both of Prescott and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 12-9 p.m. On Monday, Mr. Griffus will lie in state at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Robert Mohr and Bill Griffus will officiate with burial following at Mills Township Cemetery.
