Samuel G. Allen Jr.

Samuel Allen Jr., age 74, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at McLaren Flint Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1946 in East Alton, IL to Samuel and Marion (Englert) Allen Sr. He lived in Rose City since 1996, formerly of West Branch. Sam married Beatrice Brockman in Detroit on May 29, 1964. He enjoyed hunting, shooting pool and throwing horseshoes.

Samuel is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beatrice Allen of Rose City; sons, Billy Allen of FL, Michael (Jenn Malone) Allen of Lupton and Samuel (Cassandra) Allen III of Lima, OH; grandchildren, Daniel, Billy, Lisa, Jaceb, Jared, Michaela, Ashley, Allyson and Anna; great grandchildren, Liam, Levi, Scarlet, Jade and Mackenzee; and brother, James (Bertha) Allen of FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marion Hall and sister, Deena Allen.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held. Burial will be at Mentor Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held with precautions, due to the current pandemic, limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
