Scott H. Colclasure

Scott H. Colclasure, age 62, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He had lived in the West Branch, MI area since 1980. Scott was born to Bernice “Doc” and Velma (Burt) Colclasure in Flora, IL on December 24, 1953. He married Ann Wangler in West Branch on November 13, 1982. Scott was a member of the Skidway Lake Optimist and Knights of Columbus Council #2022. He also served on the Ausable Valley Mental Health board and on the Board of the Ogemaw County Commissioners from 2002 to 2012. He loved to cook, gardening, and antiquing. The most important part of his life was his family.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ann Colclasure of Prescott, MI; children, Preston (Chrissy) Colclasure of Cedar Springs, MI, Winston Colclasure of Prescott, MI, Brittney Colclasure of West Branch, MI, and Paige (Zach) Moss of Reed City, MI; grandchildren, Kaelyn and Brooklyn; dog, Akita; brothers, Michael (Chris) Colclasure of West Branch, MI and Bernie (Charles) Colclasure of Savanah, GA; sister, Glenda Colclasure of West Branch, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Ogemaw County Fairgrounds at 1:30 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Sam Cottle will officiate.
