Sophie V. (Delura) Samide

Sophie V. (DeLura) Samide, age 92, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. Sophie is the daughter of Stanislaus and Pauline DeLura. She lived in West Branch since 1994 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Sophie is survived by her daughters Sylvia M. (Ronald) Newman of West Branch and Carol Ann (Edmond) LaFleur of Uxbridge, Massachusets; 8 grandchildren Vincent B. (Kathi) Rowe, Steven M. (Lori) Rowe, Martin J. (Kimberly) Rowe, Bonnie G. (Randy) Schulz, Bridgette B. (Carl) Loven, Lara Little and Jason Little. Also surviving Sophie are 9 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands or the American Heart Association.
